Personal Experience
Very compact projector. In a dark room can produce a massive image (>3m), although I have had it set up for just under 2.5 which gives good performance with some background lighting. Brilliant colours and contrast. Perfect for watching DVD's in style. Have not been bothered by the so called rainbow effects. Only way to see them is if you blink very rapidly or shake your head quickly. I don't normally do this when watching movies! I am using with a glass beaded screen which gives even brighter picture, but only if projector is in line with your eyes - eg sitting on coffee table in front. Actually it worked pretty well just off a white wall.

Problems
Fan noise could be reduced, but not a huge problem.
