| I have had my HT1100 for about 3 weeks now. I have a dedicated HT room with complete control over ambient light. My screen is a fixed 100 inch 4:3 with a gain of 1. This PJ projects an excellent picture. It took a bit of reading and experimenting to get the hang of the anamorphic lens when using widescreen sources, but after you understand when to use it and how to set the PJ's vertical zoom it is simple. Colors are spectacular on econo mode. Normal mode is actually too bright for my room. The only weakness is the blacks. I keep my iris fairly wide open and can get some improvement in black level by closing it a bit but there is a cost in overall picture quality when I do this. The animated movies such as Shrek, Nemo and the Incredibles are incredibly vivid. |
