Personal Experience
The reviews I encountered made me comfortable w/ purchasing this product for my dedicated home theater. All went well with light and moderately light scenes. The projector struggled greatly w/ darklit scenes, for example the cave scenes in Lord of the Rings detracted greatly from the enjoyment of viewing. Live broadcast such as the Superbowl were great. It was a challenge to use the remote in a dark room to attempt to balance the picture. The cables used w/ my DVD player were the composite and s video cables. In conversation w/ the company, they recommended the h31 on up due to higher contrast and faster wheel speed. The rep I spoke with did not recommend the upgrade program mentioned on the site as I would not get a fair market trade in amount.
