I have just bought the Infocus X2 as a home projector. i wanted it mainly to watch movies and to hook it up to my Playstation 2. When I hooked it up to the DVD player (composite) the image was incredible. A few days later I bought a S-Video cable and it was even more amazing. I know that there is till room for cable improvement but it is the best I could get out of my DVD player (old Non-progressive). The brightness is very good but it is still highly recommended to use it in a dark ambience room. Although the X2 hasn't got the Faroudia Chip, it has a good Deinterlacer chip which converts the interlaced signals into progressive ones. I am currently projecting on a white wall in a dark room, and the picture is still amazing.
I highly recommend this projector for the Home Theatre enthusiast who would like a cheap yet amazing projector for the Home uses. I would recommend using this projector with a progressive DVD player and if possible with a DVD player that has DVI output or component output and using a screen.
