| I am very happy with this purchase. I have probably only used it about 100 hours so far...but so far, so good. I was originally going to go with the Panasonic PT-AE700U, because a couple friends had bought them recently and were quite happy. But I decided at the last minute to go with the Z3 instead. The main reason was that there were some reports of premature bulb life with the AE700U, plus the Z3 has a 3 year warranty over the AE700U's 1 year. I am using this projector to display a 106" 16:9 image on a Da-Lite Da-Snap screen from a cieling mount. I have a dedicated theatre with no windows and have complete control over ambient light. Because of this, I can easily run the projector in the lamp saving mode. Which also lowers the fan noise to be nearly silent. Currently I am only using the HDMI input and operating my theatre from Windows XP MCE 2005. As long as I run at native resolution everything displays beautifully. Which is what you expect from any LCD...native looks best. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. Got a better warranty and saved a little money over buying the AE700U...and still has pretty much the same feature set. |
