Personal Experience
Being a Novice I have very little experience with projectors and nothing to compare to. Not knowing the difference between connectors and how much it would improve the image quality I started out with an S-video signal and composite and was very unhappy. I switched to DVI and WAS AMAZED at the difference. I have a Panoview 106" screen and have the projector about 15' back on a small table. I have to use the zoom but the screen fills out perfectly and Looks Great. I wouldn't say the image is perfect but its damn close. The throw image is high still so I have to offset it with a small plastic piece in the back to keep it lower and the screen is hanging from the ceiling. Overall I am happy with the purchase and hope the lamp life lives up to the timeframe of 2000hrs. My total cost was $1200 and after evaluating for several days now I am so far quite happy. With the Dvi cable you really don't have to raise the brightness but raising the contrast a little does help. This really is a good projector for the cost and for games WOW. Not much more I can say just do your research before you buy and know what your doing (unlike me).

Don't use S-video or Composite for a signal you will be very dissapointed. Make sure to have a high resolution cable Like DVI and HD video will look Great..
