Personal Experience
I have been using this projector in a ceiling mount postion for nearly 1.5 years. It has been superb and my lamp life in economy mode is now about 1500hrs and still going strong (we decided on this first lamp we would use it like a TV and see how long it lasted). So far I am very pleased with the lamp life and its only half way according to the 3000 hrs on eco mode (don't notice any difference of quality compared to full mode). A great performer at the price you pay for it.

Problems
I have only on a few rare occasions (maybe twice) experienced the light flicker mentioned on some of the reviews posted here but that was for maybe a minute or two and then it stopped.
