Personal Experience
The image out of the box was good. The set-up was quirky, with several questions needing to be worked out on your own. The manual was extremely poor. Don't even try to call or e-mail Optoma for any help, as there will be none. If you have any serious problems, you have to beg them to get a return authorization, even in the warranty period. Then don't expect to see your projector for 2 months.

Problems
The color wheel lunched itself with less than 100 hours of use. It took on month of phone calls and e-mails to get a return authorization for a warranty repair, then they kept it for 2 months, and returned it with a new color wheel, but stated that it needed a new lamp. They didn't ask if I would like them to replace it. I replaced the lamp ($400.00) after less than 100 hours of use, and the projector kept shutting itself down again. I would not recommend any Optoma product to anyone, if their service and warranty division is as feeble at I have experienced.
