| Personal Experience |
| I've only owned the LT380 a few weeks. This is my third projector. Previously I have owned a Sanyo LCD and NEC DLP unit. My primary use is banquet presentations - both still images and videos. The LT380 is plenty bright for most venues. It is easy to set up and has inputs for just about anything you would ever want to attach. Image clarity is excellent. With my previous DLP unit I needed to set it to sRGB mode to get accurate colors on digital slide shows which resulted in vastly reduced brightness. I find the LT380's colors to be very accurate even in Presentation mode - and of course dead-on in sRGB mode. This projector is the quietest unit I've ever owned. You can hardly tell it's even running. The fan goes into turbo-mode when you power off for rapid cool-down which is a nice feature. Oh, and this projector has the longest power cord I've ever seen. It must be 15 feet long. Nice touch. |

| Problems |
The only complaints I have are very minor. First, the projector has two independant feet on the front and a long "bar" foot on the rear. The independant front feet allow you to adjust the projector's horizontal tilt. The problem is if the surface is uneven the long bar foot on the rear no longer makes good contact and the unit easily wobbles. A simple tripod foot arrangement would have been a lot more stable. And second, I hate the bag. :-) Instead of the usual outside storage pocket for cables and such it has a pocket on the INSIDE that appears to be made out of T-shirt material. It barely holds the book, power cord and VGA cable. I'm not sure how it will hold up. I much prefer an outside storage pocket that keeps all the cables and accessories away from the projector. See - I told you my complaints were minor. ;-) |
