This is my second post. The first was on Feb 8. I have 690 hours on the lamp now with no problems. Based on the posts from others, I am convinced the cooling in this unit is under designed. My solution was to mount an external 16 inch house fan that blows across the unit at medium speed. I turn on this fan before I turn on the projector and turn off the fan after I shut down the projector. Since the projector is mounted in a seperate room the noise from the fan is satisfactorly muffled. I recommend this solution to all who use this projector.
This unit has served my projection needs very well. I'm considering the addition of the Toshiba HD-DVD player next. Looking for some feedback.

| I had one unexplained shut down of the projector at ~600 hours. I restarted the projector immediately with no further problems. |
