Personal Experience
It's superb. The price here in UAE is far less than elsewhere, I think. I had it paid for, delivered and installed professionally (wall mounted) for Dh 2999 (that's $815), and the installers were kind enough to install my screen as well (I compensated them voluntarily). I'm able to keep my room fairly dark, so watching a DVD on this one is as good (almost) as going to a movie theatre. The kids love watching their animation movies on it. I did very extensive research on a large range of projectors prior to buying this (mostly in end-May up to mid June) and just when I was ready to buy, this one came out, and I found the specs to be better than all the other ones I had studied.

My only misgiving here was the low resolution (WVGA), and I felt I had to accept the compromise. But frankly my fears were unfounded. Hooked up to a progressive scan DVD player via a component video connection, I got a perfectly clear, sharp and smooth enough image (I am using the projector basically for watching DVDs--not for presentations). Screen door effect is visible when you are close to the screen, but sitting at approximately 10 - 12 feet from the screen, it is virtually unnoticeable. Colour tones etc., are virtually perfect. It's wall mounted at 15 feet away from the screen and gives me a superb 8-foot wide image, without zoom. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Another thing I like is the auto input search. With the DVD (Home Theatre system integrated) and satellite receiver hooked up, it automatically switches to the receiver when I select "aux" on the home theatre system.

I've given it a "good" for reliability, as I admit I've only had it for two weeks now.

There's quite a bit of light leakage out of the body, but again, it didn't really affect the picture or the overall ambience in the room.

(Note: in your specs you have not mentioned that it has a 7-segment colour wheel.)

Problems
The light leakage from the body is the only drawback I can find, but as I said, this didn't have much effect even when the room was totally darkened. Very slight overall difference in a 14' x 16' room.
