Personal Experience
I gave this projector a few weeks of use before writing this, wanting to give it a fair review. Overall I really do love the projector, and it's a GREAT value for the money. I'm happy with my purchase. The image is bright and vivid, the fan is quiet (even in bright mode), the projector doesn't run as hot as others, the menus are well laid out, and the throw distance is fairly flexable. My one problem with this unit is it's vertical placement of the image in relation to the lens. The image is offset by quite a bit. Not the standard lens = top/bottom of the image. If I had cathedrial ceilings this wouldn't be a problem, but I don't... and I doubt many people buying a projector in this price range do. This forces me to use the digital keystone correction, which really screws up the image quality. The "lens shift" option on this model just cuts off the top or bottom of the image. You're stuck processing your image either way. For what it's worth this wasn't an issue mounted "desk style" on my coffee table and it looked great! Totally in the way though. Unless your ceiling is a few feet above where you expect the top of your image, (about 4' up with a 17' throw distance on a 100" screen) you'll be processing heavily and loosing quality. Avia disc shows this clearly using the test patterns.

Problems
I saw a few line artifacts when using the DVI input at the projectors native resolution, but have not been able to resolve if it was the source or projector. Component input didn't have this problem, whatever it was. Projector takes a long time to "synch" to the video signal, it's pretty bad to have a 10-20 second wait when switching from standard-def channels to hi-def channels.
The colors are WAY off from accurate by default, however there is a very powerfull system for adjusting them and saving several overall color settings PER INPUT (a nice feature!)
