BULP BLOWS AFTER aprox. 100 hours BECAUSE of general firmware-error!
Problems
This projector blows the bulp because it has a fundmental error in the firmware, that BenQ will not make official. After blowing two lamp after 100 hours each, I had the entire "motherboard" replaced by BenQ - however I really had to put pressure on BenQ before they admitted the error. I guess it will be pretty expensive for them if all the owners find out. SO, spread the word. I belive PE7700 produced AFTER jan. 2005 is ok - but check it out, and have your firmware upgraded (motherboard replacement needed in some cases) before the waranty runs out and BenQ can turn u down - I think that is what they hope will happend...! Pretty bad behavior, Benq - why dont you contact all PE7700 and replace the bad firmware for free for all your buyers ??? BULP BLOWS AFTER aprox. 100 hours BECAUSE of general firmware-error! Wakeup call to all BENQ PE7700 owners. Check the firmware in your own PE7700 and get it fixed at BenQ-service before your waranty runs out!
