Personal Experience
A wicked projector! I was stoked when I first fired it up in my new home theatre. Footy, general HDTV and movies are awesome! My only gripe is that I wasted my money on the DVE display calibration DVD as all the PE7700 needed out of the box was some very minor RGB gamma tweaking to slightly boost black level detail. The picture now pumping out is absolutely beautiful to watch and that's just projecting onto a prepared and painted white plaster wall! Anyway, I think you may have the idea now. This projector cranks ands it's available around the traps for under AUD $2000!
Problems
It seemed a fairly large unit which made the arms pretty tired when I was ceiling mounting it. Other than that, no problems for me except that I waste too much time watching it! Just incase you might be wondering, yes I'm one of the owners with the new firmware and have had absolutely no lamp issues.
