| Ok, after waiting one year I finally pulled the triger on AE900u. I'm using it only with my HTPC using DVI>HDMI cable. Using native 720p res I had to disable overscan to get everything in place. Screen door effect - NONE, Vertical Bending - NONE, Dead/stuck pixels - NONE. I'm a happy man. Yesterday I watched Braveheart and it is indeed a blast. my screen is 120' from only 12,5 feet so 2X zoom is very handy as well as lens shift. Picture is amazing, even DVD looks amazing. I really feel like in the theater. Make sure that your sound system is in pair, I have 7.1 creative speakers and it really does make a difference. Next games. I don't use consoles so only PC gaming. I ran NFS underground, Most wanted, FEAR, Doom3 and it all is amazing. if you ran at native resolution make sure to enable some AA and AF because edges are well visible at this enlargment. Overall Great stuff and highly reccomended. The image is way brither than I hoped for. Ohh, and I pretty much use Cinema 1 all the time. I got the OJ for 1350AR + BB card and free 3year lamp replacement. |
