Personal Experience
Great classroom projector. Remote provides quick control of the picture modes and ability to blank the screen which is nice when steering focus to something away from the screen. Very short throw so make sure you have distance to screen figured out, but also there is a screen size setting called border that further reduces the viewable screen size, so that acts sort of like a zoom out that can let you set the projector a little further back than the distance calculator shows here on projector central. This mode also lets you move the picture up or down. Worked well in a larger classroom. If you don't need to correct the picture with keystone etc., standard 1024x768 looks spectacular. The text is very sharp, and the image is crisp. I am truly impressed with how sharp the text and graphics are compared to other projectors I have used. Colors are reproduced well too, I had a handout to match a presentation and colors matched almost perfectly. We also picked up a spare bulb for this for $275. That is far cheaper than our old projector where bulbs are $400+! This unit has 200 hours so far and this is the best projector we have now. I have not seen this in movie modes however so cannot comment but other reviews seem to address this. Ours also included the optional component cable which is great.

Problems
The only negatives would be the built in sound, it is basic and meek. While we don't have a huge need for it and run most through the PC, I could see where using this as a home theatre or for games you will definitely want a separate sound source. If you just need basic sound for a small room however this speaker will work ok. The other issue on the sound which is interesting is that it has RCA inputs ONLY if using SVIDEO or RCA video. If you are using the VGA/Component video inputs, the sound jacks for those are a single 1/8" stereo in, and a single 1/8" stereo out. Can't mix/match, so make sure you have the proper converters if traveling with this.
