Personal Experience
I've got about 300 hours on mine now and I like it. I found a ceiling mount for $30 on-line (including handling) and also ordered the VGA/component adapter, which does seem to make a difference in picture quality. I very rarely see a rainbow and never experienced the smell others have mentioned. This is my first projector, so I'm only comparing it to what I think the picture should be, but for the money I'm very happy. I don't have an HD signal yet but with normal cable broadcasts (and quality varies from channel to channel), I will say it's hard to get the brightness just right for football and I may have to give up on hockey entirely... it's just too white. However you need Dramamine to watch hockey on a 100" screen from 14 feet anyway. Thanks also to the folks that have posted here... I read this top to bottom before I bought mine.

Problems
I won't blame the whiteness on the projector until I have an HD signal...
