Personal Experience
Project has amazing color and contrast. Brighter than expected. I have a fixed 147" http://www.angelfire.com/hero/thenewhome/hometheater.html diagonal vutec in a dedicated home theater; mounted at about +/-22 feet from the screen. Have had it for over a year, I would recommend for sure especially for the first time buyers. Better than most plasma/LCD projection TVs. At least bigger pictures for your money

It took me almost six months researching for projectors. Just before I made up my mind, on 2005 Black Friday, my wife came home with this projector, I never asked how much she paid, but I secretly went online to check on the price. I was very upset about it, since she doesn’t want me to spend a lot of money on projector, when I finally installed it on Christmas eve of 2005, I was surprised and we have been using it ever since.

Some of my equipments have HD and HDMI and now I’m thinking about upgrading so I can really enjoy my home theater to possibly optoma HD7100 or any optoma projectors that you recommend

Problems
None, Project a little bit small for my home theater
