Personal Experience
I upgraded from a Screenplay 4805 to this projector. The HD70 is by far one the nicest projector I have seen. I have experienced the Panasonic PTAX100U which is a very nice projector also I seen no noticable difference between that projector and the HD70 other then if you have a bright room the PTAX100U will display better. I have purchased a HD DVD player also and I have tryed that and I am very disappointed with the HD DVD's the wide sceen boxes are HUGE and I do not notice that much a difference between regular DVD's and HD DVD's. Maybe I should have tryed Blue ray.

Projector works great! the only thing I noticed if you turn it off and on to quickly it kinda got stuck in a limbo of turning it self on and off then displayed the error light. I had to unplug the unit and wait a min to fix that.
