| Personal Experience |
| In April I purchased an xr-10s projector for use in my classroom. Because I liked the product, I purchased another in October for my home theater. |

| Problems |
One week after that purchase, the bulb in the school projector blew. Two and a half months later the one at home blew. Both lasted far below the advertised life expectancy of 2000 hours. In addition, they were both set to the lower bulb brightness to conserve the life of the bulbs. I was sure to set both units in places where the cooling fans were unobstructed and at no time were the units subject to shock. I even took the time to periodically vacuum the units to keep as much dust out as possible. I sent both units back last week and one was fixed under warranty, the other they will not fix unless I pay $300 for a bulb. This is unacceptable. The internet is full of stories of short lamp life and poor customer support in light of this problem. I wish I had read them before my purchase |
