A Gem from Toshiba

The latest review to be posted is the Toshiba MT500. This is a low lumen output machine, but it produces a beautiful picture on a smaller home theater screen. For those who have limited space and don't want to super-size their screens, this one is a gem.

With its native 1024x576 resolution, we will get a lot of email asking how the MT500 compares to native XGA machines like the NEC LT240K, which deliver the same physical resolution in 16:9 mode. Actually, we currently have the Mitsubishi XD350 and the Philips bCool XG1 on the lab bench. Both are high contrast XGA products like the NEC LT240K. I hope to get reviews done on both of these by the end of next week. So comparative comments on all of these units are forthcoming.
