You may have noticed that we have been making changes to the site over the last 4 or 5 months in an effort to give you better coverage of emerging technologies and to simply make it easier to find things.
Recently we revamped the Projector Brands page and Feature Search and while we always expect a few complaints when we change things, we got more than expected with the last two. On behalf of ProjectorCentral, I apologize to those who took umbrage. We will try not to surprise you in the future, by posting a note here.
For those of you who are not aware of the changes they included three significant Feature Search changes including: 1) give results on the same page where you defined your search criteria, 2) give instantaneous feedback as you select features, and 3) let you refine your results in a variety of ways. You can still fill in your own ranges for brightness, weight, contrast, and price by selecting "Enter Custom Range" from the drop-down menus.
If you're trying to fit a specific setup, Projection Setup will find projectors that satisfy your Throw Distance and Image Size requirements; however, it will not yet take into account optional lenses. And for those of you who learned more about the Pythagorean Theorem than you ever wanted to know, we now let you enter your screen size in height, width or diagonal. It couldn't be easier.
You can view projector listings in full detail (Show Details) or compressed with only the model name and a few details (Hide Details). If you need to dig something out of the archives, just click "Discontinued Projectors". The same filters apply.
The "Sort by" feature gives you a powerful way to get to the data that is of greatest interest to you and of course you can easily pick models off the list to add to your Compare List. We're still making small changes and you can expect to see a couple more check boxes to cover a few more search options.
We thank you for your patience and your feedback. You can reach us by using Send us Feedback. You'll find the link at the top of most pages. While we try to answer all mail, be patient as we get a lot of mail.
