Good news...the Epson 3010 just arrived this weekend, so the review is underway as of today...
Since the Epson 3010 is a 3D 1080p home theater projector selling for $1,599, and since the Optoma HD33 is the only other 3D 1080p home theater projector selling in that price range, there is a huge reader interest in how the 3010 stacks up against the HD33. So this review will include a detailed comparison between the two models.
Barring any technical problems with the samples, we should have this review completed by about the middle of next week.
We are still waiting to hear when we might receive the Mitsubishi HC7800 and the Epson 5010, but we hope to have them both reviewed this month. We expect to have a review of the Panasonic AR100 done during the last week of October. That model is not 3D compatible, but it will compete in the same price range as the Epson 3010 and HD33. Its 2800 lumen rating suggests it may be a strong alternative to the 3010 and HD33 for living room and ambient light situations, for those who don't care about 3D.
