This afternoon we posted the results of two major projector shootouts in two different categories of equipment...
In the first group we called in four high resolution WUXGA models (1920x1200) that are rated in the range of 7000 ANSI lumens. These large and heavy high performance projectors are meant for fixed installation in medium to large conference rooms or small auditoriums. Prices range from $12,000 up to about $22,000. Vendors participating in this shootout were Epson, Mitsubishi, NEC and Panasonic. The shootout consists of an overview plus an individual review of each model, and Bill Livolsi took charge of that series of evaluations and prepared the write ups. In the second shootout we turned our attention to interactive projectors built primarily for classrooms and smaller conference room use where interactivity is essential. Marc Davidson conducted the testing on the six units that were submitted by BenQ, Dell (two models), Epson, SMART, and Sony. This shootout consists of an overview, six individual model reviews, and a series of charts that compare and rank the six models on a variety of different features and performance characteristics. Here are the results of the Interactive Projector Shootout.
We hope you will find these shootouts informative. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
