BenQ Shootout and New Epson Models

If you're in a quandary as to whether BenQ's W1070 or W1500 is the better choice for you, see Bill's comparison...

This BenQ W1500 vs W1070 shootout puts these two great performers for the money head to head. Is the sub-$1000 W1070 right for you, or do you need the extra refinements of the W1500 for $600 more?

The Epson ProCinema 6030, ProCinema 4030, and Home Cinema 5030 have just arrived and are now on the test benches. We've got them set up side by side for comparative testing. And there's a lot of evaluation to do. The 4030 and 5030 are priced at the same levels but offer two scenarios in value propositions. And the 6030 vs. the 5030 offer a completely different set of value propositions. Quite an interesting study--who should be buying each of these models and why? We will have fun sorting this out, as these are the best home theater projectors yet from Epson. We will get the reviews done asap.

I have had the 5030 up and running for almost 2 weeks now and all I can say is WOW!!! This is my 5th projo and by far the best. The colors are vibrant and pop off screen. I personally don't see how they can get much better then this . Just watched my first 3D movie WW Z and I loved the movie but felt 3D was only as good as the directors used it to be. No fault of Epson but 3D scenes were few and far between { directors fault } when I would notice .Go get ya one if your in need. I love Panasonic but when I found out they were not releasing a new projo it was pretty much a no brainer. My first Epson and all that is left to say is WOW !!! If the 5030 dosen't get rave reviews I will be very surprised...Peace

It would be really great to see a comparison of the the 4855WU to a 5030 so those of us with ambient light challenges could get a good picture of the trade offs (noise, 3D/2D, brightness) and see where we fall.

Looking forward to the Home Cinema 5030, with the Playstion 4 and Xbox One coming out soon I'll be purchasing a projector with low latency in a living room setting with ambient light. Will I be impressed or will I stick with my plan for the Panasonic PT-AE8000U?
