ASUS P2E User Reviews

Hi everybody! I've just tried the ASUS P2E projector myself. It's very small and looks good. The brightness would be just all right for watching movies in a dark room. For the noise I was expecting it to be lower. It's noise is actually comparable to traditional lamp projectors (to Optoma HD141X which I have here as well) There was an issue connecting the HDMI source - I'm not sure if the projector's HDMI connector was broken (the projector is new!), but it was a pain to get it working. Couple of times pluging the HDMI cable in and out. Tiring. But the main complaint is the fidelity of colors. The picture colors are just AWFUL!!! It's completely out of any fidelity. It's like watching an old VGA monitor, which would still be much better! It's definitely unusable for watching any movies, or pictures. I wonder if this is the problem of all 300 euro LED projectors, (the classic lamp Optoma for 550 euro is just right) but the P2E definitely fails in color reproduction. I've of coarse tried all the color settings the device can provide. No chance! Never buy it for home cinema!!!?

Any Problems: HDMI connector might be weak - was not really good even on a new device.
