In the 2-D mode the image is bright enough, projecting from even 4 meter distance (in a totally dark room/environment of course), ... When the room gets 'brighter', then the distance should not be longer than 2.5 meters, ... with the smaller projected image. The contrast will NOT improved - cause the darkest 'black' will be dark as dark the 'lit' screen is! In 3-D mode the 4 meter projection is really a bit over/on the edge of limit : the screen gets wide ~ 6.5 meters, and stays still enjoyable. 3D is perfect, indeed! (With the good glasses, of course, better on 144 Hz). The not really noticeable (except in dark scenes) lack of contrast (as in 2-D) gets better: when the 3-D glasses are on - because the bright whites are just a bit less bright, but the 'fake' blacks are becoming true blacks! ... instead of being dark grays. Seams that 3-D gets better in contrast delivery than 2-D! The brightness is just about enough (not HDR, though). I always use it in ECO mode, which is the other name of the silent or the quiet mode. If in ECO mode, without Dynamic black - this is one of the quieter projectors I had a pleasure to use. Colors are vibrant (out of the box), ... but not very precise, ... maybe for the regular eye, there are? After I did an extended calibration, half night in a totally dark environment ... the overall picture & experience became : SIMPLY BRILLIANT. In 2-D and in 3-D, ... the same! Sound is a weak link. As in any other projector, ... but good enough while installing. Goog enough quality for a regular 'everyday' TV. Definitely will need a serious audio system (5.1 and above!) for full enjoyment! With such a good BIG 'picture' (although: after calibration!), ... it is worth it!

Any Problems: Presumably the rotor of the ventilator (in better case) or the color wheel, got louder (unnatural sounds) for a week or so, ... but it went back to normal - silent mode ... No further issues.
