Like Cornelius I bought this for business, but have watched a lot of movies on it. Overall very pleased, a 'big screen' movie certainly holds your attention. The dreaded 'rainbow effect' is definetly there. The funny thing is that I am the only person out of twenty or so people who have sat through a movie that seems to have noticed it. Everyone else is engrossed in the movie! I purposely have not mentioned the rainbows and no-one has bought them up (or said they had headaches....). Value for money is very good particularly if bought for business and entertainment is a bonus (OK I admit it I haven't looked at any Powerpoints yet!)

Any Problems: Blacks - if you display in letterbox format it is apparent that the area above and below the image is more gray than black, however the magic of perception soon convinces you that the black is black and white is white - even when projected on a cream wall. The cheap component video to VGA converor is well and also effectively blocks the S-video connector.

I bought this machine for business presentations, but also use it to watch movies. I was amazed by the quality of the image, since the PD523PD is not created for home entertainment. To get the best out of your projector you need to spend the extra 100 dollars on proper cables. People tend to neglect that and that is what makes or breaks the image. Such great value for money!

Any Problems: The projector does not come with Component Video Cables. These are a must for everyone using a data projector since it dramatically increases the quality of the image. The blacks are a little to gray.
