Write a ReviewOur school bought an S1210 some time ago and I thought I could share some of my experience with this unit. Image quality is really good, even without HDMI (over D-SUB). No refresh or timing problems out of the box. Eco mode is bright enough to be used in standard daylight 90cm away from the board. Features are standard for this price range (with the exception of the absent HDMI connector). Construction is very solid. The noise level is also pretty standard (or quieter) and vanishes in a classroom environment (although I use it on Eco). The menus are rather easy to use. A diagram of squares in the menu background helps you set up the image correctly (if you need to use the keystone feature). For this price range, if you do not need the HDMI, there is no better deal at the moment.
Any Problems: The first drawback I found so far is that it is hard to get uniformal focus across the whole picture (but I'm using it with quite acute keystone correction). The second one is that the keystone feature will slightly overshrink (if you follow me) the bottom of the image corrected. The result image when using acute keystoning is a slightly widened image proportions. However, even with high use of keystone correction and taking into account the focus problems, wikipedia entries (small font) are still perfectly ledgable for the students.
