Boxlight TraveLight2 User Reviews
User Reviews
Write a ReviewI recently borrowed one for two weeks international travel. I used it (daily use 4 hrs/day) in an small room indoor on 220 voltage, and large group outdoor setting, running on a portable generator. Had power interupt several times and just re-started the projector, and continued the presentations. It is very solid. It doesn't seem to overheat as much as my other two machines, and runs fairly quiet comparitively. I like that. I compare it to my own small(ish) Panasonic 56U that has only slightly larger footprint than this, and a somewhat larger InFocus. The Boxlight Travelight is by far my favorite travel projector. Small enough, quiet enough, and bright enough to travel in one small laptop bag with the laptop. Small, but it doesn't feel fragile. Basically a one button setup. Instantly recognizes the computer under the 3 major operating systems (XP, Vista, OSX) Uses a DVI input rather than VGA. Buy it if you travel light, buy it if you like well made equip.
Any Problems: Not a problem, but wish for Bluetooth wireless rather than wires
Worked great straight out of the box. No issues with set-up and menu functions are easily navigated. Picture quality is great, especially for such a small unit. Unit can be carried in same bag as PC and you hardly know it's there!
Any Problems: Minor/nuisances - leveling pad does only allows tilt from level to right-side elevated (if unit needs to be tilted left-down you must resort to a stack of paper under the right foot!). Remote batteries dead after first use due to buttons being pressed when in cramped case. All minor issues that don't detract from the excellent performance and value of this projector.
The review noted that one corner of the image had a slight focus issue. I didn't note that in the projector I received. Construction and controls are layed out well. The remote has an issue with the center button (it pushes too easily) which means that I have to take the batteries out when I pack it or the button drains the AAA batteries. The remote is different than described in the documentation also. Image quality is excellent for a projector of this size. The construction appears to be excellent and no problems with it out of the box. Documentation is weak.
Any Problems: No problems except for remote as described in review.
