Shopped for months for a projector for two purposes: presentations off my laptop and movies in the family room. But I couldn't find a low-priced projector I felt could handle movies in the family room. This projector was offered as a gift. Got it. Love it! It's perfect for taking to presentations. It's amazingly high quality and bright for movies! It won't substitute for high-end projectors you might choose for your theater room. But it competes with the high end home ($1000-ish) offerings from 4 years ago. I've used it outdoors, projecting on the side of the house. It's good enough for movie night outdoors. How much light can it tolerate? If you have any lamps on in the room, you'll lose quality when you project onto a 100" screen. At 80", a small lamp is no problem.

Any Problems: My only problems: 1. Here's how you "size the image": move the projector closer to the screen/wall! No adjustments available otherwise. 2. The jack for power is the same size as the jack for sound. I plugged the power cable into the audio jack. Lucky I didn't blow the thing up!
