Christie has expanded their GS Series to six projectors with the addition of the 8,000-ANSI lumen DWU880-GS and 9,500-ANSI lumen DWU1100-GS. They are designed for high-use installations at locations like conference rooms, educational spaces, houses of worship, live events, theme parks, and museums.
Both projectors have a high-efficiency blue laser light source with a yellow phosphor wheel. The light passes through a 4-segment (RGBY), 3x speed color wheel before reaching a 0.67-inch DLP chip. The projectors have a native 16:10 WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution. The light source provides 20,000 hours of consistent illumination before reaching half brightness. A range of seven lenses are available, including a 0.36:1 ultra-short throw. The remaining six lenses cover a throw ratio from 0.65:1 up to 5.5:1.

The projectors can be mounted in any orientation and there are optional mounts and frames for installations. Motorized zoom, focus, and horizontal (±30%) and vertical (±100%) lens shift help installation flexibility (the UST lens is fixed, so it has no lens shift capability). Both the DWU880-GS and DWU1100-GS has built-in compatibility with Christie Twist and Christie Mystique software, used for manual and automated camera-based warping, blending, and alignment.

Inputs include two HDMI 2.0 (one with HDCP 1.4, one with HDCP 2.2), DVI-D, two RJ45 (one for HDBaseT and one for control over LAN), 3G-SDI, USB Type A, RS232, and a 3.5mm stereo jack for wired remote control. 3D sync in and out allows for full HD 3D content from a single or multi-projector setup. Frame packing, top/bottom, side-by-side, and frame sequential (up to 120 Hz) is accepted via the HDMI with HDCP 1.4 or HDBaseT inputs. An optional wireless module is available for additional connectivity.

The DWU880-GS is available in either white or black while the DWU1100-GS is only available in black. The two projectors measure 7.5 x 21.9 x 18.9 inches (HWD) without feet or a lens. The DWU880-GS weighs 41.9 pounds and the DWU1100-GS weighs 48.9 pounds (both weights are without a lens included). Both are available as TAA-complaint models, and they come with a three-year warranty (or 20,000 hours on the illumination system) and are available now.
