Dell M409WX User Reviews

I ordered a Dell Factory Refurbished unit from a third-party off ebay, and when it came in the mail I was pleasently surprised! Going from a Dell 2400MP, this unit is TINY! But don't let that scare you away, the image is fantastic at a 15ft throw and the brightness is mind-boggling. The HDMI input and the widescreen format is fantastic for having my laptop hooked to it. So happy I went with this projector.

Any Problems: Not much to say, except for 2 issues. As with most DLP, yellows are kinda off. Cartoon characters seem to have more of a tan then they're natural skin color. Playing with the settings you can get it a bit better, but it's not something that can be fixed perfectly. My biggest issue is the lack of image flip/ceiling mount. The bottom of the projector seems to only have a single 1/4-20 bolt hole w/ keyhole for a tripod mount, and there is not image flip in the settings. I read online that there was a firmware update that added the image flip, but after waiting on hold with Dell for 20 minutes, that theory was debunked. Kinda infuriating actually, because Dell sells a projector ceiling mount that shows the M409WX ATTACHED AND MOUNTED UPSIDOWN!!! A shelf will do the trick just as well though.
