Just in time for summer, Elite Screens has announced an addition to its Yard Master collection of outdoor screens. The new Yard Master Wireless Series is a battery-operated retractable screen that comes in both standard and tab-tension design—the latter delivering uniformity for a flat and taut projection screen. Not needing to be plugged in means the screen can be placed virtually anywhere.
Both standard and tab-tension versions are IPX3 rated to protect against water spray less than 60 degrees from vertical. They also run on a built-in rechargeable Li-on battery that can last up to 200 cycles on one charge. The screen's remote runs on radio frequency, so line of sight is not required to operate the screen. The screens have four-side black masking to absorb any projector overshoot and improve visual contrast.

The standard screen uses Elite Screens' MaxWhite 1.1-gain screen material for standard-throw projectors (not compatible with short-throw or ultra-short throw projectors). It works for Full HD (1080p), Ultra HD (4K/8K) and active 3D projectors.
The Yard Master Tab-Tension Wireless screen uses ISF-certified CineWhite 1.1 gain matte white screen material and is compatible with standard, short, and ultra-short throw projectors, as well as Full HD, Ultra HD, and active 3D projectors.
The new Yard Master Wireless Series is available in a 125-inch diagonal, 16:9 aspect ratio with an MSRP ranging from $1,629 to $1,999. Elite Screens provides a 2-year/3-year ENR-G manufacturer's warranty.
