To bolster their large venue projector family, Epson has announced four new compact, high brightness projector models—the EB-PU1006, EB-PU1007, EB-PU1008, and EB-PU2010—ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 lumens of light output.

All models will use a laser light source with a life of 20,000 hours and virtually no maintenance. The 3LCD projectors have a native WUXGA (1920x1200) 16:10 aspect ratio resolution with 4K enhancement via pixel shifting technology. Rated brightness for the projectors are 6,000 ISO21118 (ANSI) lumens for the EB-PU1006, 7,000 for the EB-PU1007, 8,500 for the EB-PU1008, and 10,000 for the EB-PU2010.

The EB-PU1007, EB-PU1008, and EB-PU2010 will come in both black and white (the EB-PU1006 will only be available in white) are expected later in 2021. Pricing for all the models has yet to be released.

Do they have creative frame interpolation?

Can they be used for home theater?

They're not designed for that, Victor. Hard to say what the color accuracy or contrast would be like at these high lumen outputs.
