FAVI Rio HD V3 User Reviews

I couldn't be happier about the 450 I spent on this. It has very clear picture with great colors. The only downside is that its a little louder than most projectors. But once the sound of whatever it is you're playing comes on, you don't even notice it. I absolutely LOVE the lamps for it. Last about 6000-8000 hours which is much longer than most, and when you need to replace them, they are dirt cheap comparable to most. Value for the Money: this is top notch.
Any Problems: None really. I'm quite pleased.
The Favi Rio hd3 has average to good image quality. The image brightness is a little less than anticipated from the 1500 lumens shown in the specs. Both my DVD player and the Favi have the option for HDMI or HD. The HDMI doesn't seem to have any improvement over the 'normal' HD. There are light leaks from the cabinate of this projector which are distracting in a darkened room and the very very high fan noise can be very uncomfortable since the sound volume needs to be increased to actually hear the audio track.
Any Problems: Somehow I got the idea that this projector had a zoom lens - - it does not. I found the instruction book to be less than adequate and sometimes simply does not mention a feature or adjustment. The power button can easily be confused with other buttons and once activated it is a minimum of ten minutes before it can be re-activated so that the show can go on. I have been using this Favi projector for seven months having purchased it new.
