The Formovie Theater ultra-short throw projector, which nabbed the top spot in the Triple Laser category at the 2022 Laser TV Showdown hosted by ProjectorCentral and ProjectorScreen.com, is now available for purchase from the Formovie website and select websites for $3,499. It was originally announced in July.
In the Laser TV Showdown, the Formovie Theater received top scores in the categories for Color Accuracy/Skin Tone and Focus/Detail/Geomertry in SDR Day Mode, Contrast in SDR Dark Reference Mode, and Contrast/Tone-Mapping and Black Level/Shadow Detail in HDR Dark Reference Mode. In the close race between the six different tri-laser projectors its final Image Quality Score was 9.08, just above the LG HU915QB, which received an Editor's Choice designation in our recent review.

The UST's brightness is listed at 2,800 ANSI lumens with a life of 20,000 hours. Its 0.23:1 throw ratio fixed lens can project an image between 80- and 150-inch diagonal from 1.4 to 2.5 feet from the screen.
