Great unit until the bulbs fail.
Any Problems: We have 6 of these units... the bulb is rated for 2000 hours but we have never seen more than 200 hours (failed within 4 months of use). At CAN$640 a piece, this is not good.
Projector design is very attractive Cannot handle multi-media presentation on USB memory stick.
Any Problems: Noise level high Has problems with opening JPEG images Has problems with opening Power point files
Sometimes you have to pay a little more to recieve a lot. Well this little beauty fits nicely into that description. I use the HP 3130 primarily for movies but also the occassional Gaming and presentation. I travel extensively thoughout the mid east and africa and often spend weeks in remote places. No TV or sattelite is common. This projector fits nicely in my Laptop bag alongside the Computer and takes at least 30 seconds to set up when onsite. The image quality and colour is excellent and among the best I have seen. I would never go back to 800x600 resolution. The usual setting for movies is on low power in theatre mode which is still bright enough for a 100" projection in an average to large room. If it is afternoon and the curtains don't shut out all of the sunlight....flip it to full power and still enjoy your favorite movie or presentation in lightened rooms. The DVI input is a bonus for quality images all the time as well.I have been using it now for about 3 months and it has taken a beating travelling in a landcuiser through the deserts bumping and thumping in the back. Still no problems yet.If you can afford the extra few bucks I highly recommend this unit to anyone.
Any Problems: None yet....and somehow I dont expect any from a brand like HP.
