The Hitachi CP-X253 Projector is a XGA Portable Projector. This lamp based projector is capable of displaying 2,000 Lumens at its brightest setting with a native resolution of 1024x768 . The internal 3LCD technology is an innovative 3-chip design that sets itself apart by delivering vibrant, true-to-life images with better color brightness and a wider color gamut. Weighing in at 3.9 lbs, this portable projector is bright and compact, perfect for business travelers, taking on a family vacation or just moving from room to room. This projector was first available for purchase in November 2006 and has been by Hitachi. The Hitachi CP-X253 was also marketed as the 3M X20, Dukane ImagePro 8770, and the ViewSonic PJ358.

Designed for the education market, this unit features blackboard & whiteboard modes. The CP-X253 features a built-in transition detector that prevents potential thieves from removing the projector from a ceiling mount without entering a PIN code.

 

ANSI LUMENS  is the most commonly accepted industry standard brightness measurement. The ANSI lumen rating measures the brightest white that a projector can produce by averaging nine light meter measurements taken across the projected image.
