I really like how small this projector is and how easy it is to use. You can really take it anywhere and get a great 100+ inch image. This thing can practically fit in my pocket!
Any Problems: Gets too hot
While I used it a lot, and was impressed in the beginning with the picture, the noises began recently as the warranty ended, and then it was done. No lamp, no easy fix, and bulb should have longer life. Sound is useless for voice, only good for background music. Cannot hear in a classroom without added speakers, which up the weight! Projector leg too easy to break off, and not easy to level using.

We have infocus projectors all throughout my company. I cannot tell you how many times we have had to send them back especially when bought new. Customer Service is outsourced.
Any Problems: Bought new LPT70+ DLP in June and by Sept had to send back to be repaired.
Bought this refurbished. This is a great projector for someone who wants a portable projector that can do occasional home theater duty. I've watched a few football games with it, and have been impressed at the quality and image brightness. That said, the room needs to be pretty dark. As sort of a joke I hung a bedsheet on the wall and hooked it up to my cable box (high definition TV displayed at 16:9) via s-video. I thought it would not look very good, but I and everyone else there were impressed. After this, I bought a real screen and made a mount of sorts to hang from the ceiling. It's fun! Primarily, I use this projector for presentations. It works very well for this, although it is a little loud. I know the projector is old news at this point, but I thought I'd share my home theater musings.
Any Problems: lens cap string broke.
This projector was purchased last February and worked well up to this point. Nice sharp image, bright, and portable.
Any Problems: The ability to focus the projector has really deteriorated over the past few months. Again, we have owned it less than a year. I am guessing that the optics have shifted so the image sharpness cannot be adjusted. The top left of the screen is slightly blurry while the bottom right of the screen is sharp - very strange. We called INFOCUS and they estimated that it will cost $1250.00 to fix it. That is just crazy!!!
For the time I have the projector, It was very good, easy to use good image, very portable, the problem is on 6 projector I buy,one work 5 sec, second stop working after two hours presentation and a 3 stop working after 5 hour And I'm still waiting to have the replacement It's been 3 mouth.
Any Problems: So verify it for a few hours,if you have a problem the color wheel will start to do some noise and the image will start jumping.
I really love this projector. It's compact, light and the image is fantastic for presentations. I wish I could keep it but the fact is I've had to return two of them. I don't want to discourage you from buying it as I did like the projector but both of the two I purchased had the same issue. The image would start flickering and the machine would make grinding noises like a cd-rom drive. Just be aware of this issue when asking about the projector at your local retail or online store. After my second return, I asked my sales rep and he said "The return rate of the LP 70+'s is 5 times higher than the entire projector category." Wish he would have told me that at the beginning.
didnt seem as bright as i was expecting. washed out in ambient situtations to the point where i'd be worried taking it an unknown conference room. light weight and small size was impressive. picture was sharp as well.
Any Problems: I could not control RGB color from a laptop. Only 2 presets made it hard to do anything. Even adjusting the computer's color couldn't n overcome "green" cast that muddied up my DVD video. It's ok for powerpoint, but not for video. I returned it to best buy.
Since I give many financial presentations while I am traveling, a critical factor for me is to get the weight below 3 pounds. I considered the NEC LT10, but ended up buying the InFocus LP70+ at Best Buy. The LP70+ was simple to hook up. My Dell Precision M60 laptop automatically picked up on the projector right away (Windows XP). While my computer uses a 1680x1050 resolution, everything adjusted automatically to accommodate the 1024x768 resolution of the projector. The most amazing quality is how bright the picture is! It definitely captures the "wow" factor! The color white literally leaps off of the wall/screen! My biggest concern with color before my purchase was yellow. I think complaints of yellow having a greenish tint to it are overblown. While the yellow might not be as crisp as on your computer monitor, you can definitely tell that it is yellow. The picture is so crisp! Detailed stock market charts are well defined and spreadsheets show up great. I tried it with video, too, and it did a fine job! Obviously, I cannot evaluate the durability yet. Thanks to the reviews I read that expressed concerns with InFocus's customer support, I decided to go elsewhere. It was worth an extra $50 to avoid hassle. To protect myself, I bought a 3-year service contract for an extra $180 (which includes replacement bulbs!). Time will tell whether this is a good purchase, but in the early stages, I'm very pleased.
Any Problems: Nothing so far.
The small size of this project astounds people. Then when they see how bright it is and the terrific colors they are amazed. I have had this projector (Actually the clone they made for IBM) for a year and used it for 100;s of hours of presentations. It is terrific. The unit is very easy to use, relatively quiet and very bright for its size. It is also very easy to carry and comes with a great case (at least the IBM version of is does). I have also used it for movies at home and they look fine. If the person viewing has never seen a projector on a wall they will be wowed even by it's video capabilities (though not its strong suit it does fine if you keep the picture under 7 feet in width -- I don't even use a screen and it looks fine on an off white wall). I would highly recommend this projector for business use.
Any Problems: My department has had two of the and the lever on the bottom that props up the projector on both units has broken. That part seems cheaply made, the rest of the unit is great!
Just recieved this baby. Works like a charm. No troubles setting it up. Watched two movies and played some PC games. On it's first day, it worked 5 hours continuously without any problem.
Any Problems: Reds seemed weak in presentation mode. I'd like to have more control on the colors. RGB levels would be good but Tint could suffice. I'll settle on manipulating the color levels through my PC.
I have compared this projector to many other makes & models & am yet to find an image (text in particular) which compares. Very attractive package and ease of use.
