Fantastic projector, Paid $1200(5/15/07) worth every penny, put in 1157hours thus far! The wide screen lens is awesome and the 3000:1 contrast really makes the scenes stand out. This is a projector that requires a dark room, it is designed for gaming and movies! I would not recommend it for presentations. The throw distance is really great 8 feet clearance should get you a 90"+ screen. This is by far better than the canon, optoma hd30, and mitsubishi xu1000 that I have owned. Love the fact it has so many connections, hdmi, m1 /dvi converter, component, svideo. No need for tons of adapters. Won't be upgrading for a while.
when we worked out that we wanted to go for a movie projector, we originally decided upon the 4805, it being so much better than anything else in the similar price bracket. We then learned of the IN72 and decided to wait for it - when it arrived i first noticed the dreaded 'rainbow effect' (hadnt spotted it on DLP projectors before, but maybe just noticed after id read about it subsequent to the first viewing??). compared it to the IN74 and ended up getting this one for the minor improvements (brightness/contrast).
Any Problems: minor rainbow effect, but this has only been really mininimal, and for me and greatly offset by the overall brilliance of the image - even though its currently only on a wall and not a proper screen! still would want this one with RBE than an LCD projector...
