I own the uniden ulp 1000 and the newer Microvision + which claims to be 50% brighter with 15 lumens. To be 50% brighter it would have to be 50 lumens not 15. There is very little difference between the 2 projectors. The unidens image about 20% larger from the same projection distance and it uses the whole chip to create the 16:9 image. I think its better than the newer Showmx+.

Any Problems: None at this point. Paid $100.00 on craigslist.

This unit is everything I hoped it would be. It produces clear pictures with great detail in large sizes. It is great for travelling, you can watch movies on the walls or ceilings of hotel rooms. It is always in focus, it doesn't matter if it is stippled. It is great for looking at photos and videos you have taken. It is just plain fun and the wow factor when you show it to people is great.

Any Problems: None, in fact I only had time I needed customer service I wanted an add on and they came through quickly and efficiently. Great to deal with.

Very light weight, infinite focus, safe on eyes, no heat buildup, sharp images, easy to read text, very wide (100" to 200") projection in a dark room produces a good viewing experience. All in all, a very nice high tech product.

Any Problems: It's so small, it got lost in my wife's large purse for a day. Same place she always loses her cell phone.

Outstanding, bright and vivid images from a pocket-sized projector, even at 8-feet diagonal. Never needs to be focused, hooks up to a variety of devices (iPod, iPhone, my Nikon D-40 digital camera, laptop) and simple to use. Works best in a dark room with a white projection surface. Go to YouTube and search on ShowWxDemoMar2010 to see a demo I did that's pretty amazing. WVGA resolution, really bright and evenly distributed color. The gold standard in pico projectors!

Any Problems: Very slight "bowtie" effect where edges of picture bow in ever so slightly, but I knew about this before I bought it. Works best in the dark but also performs in lighter situations - just not with super-sized images. Really very happy with my ShowWx.

This is one world changing technology! It's truly an amazing and remarkable product. It was even better than I imagined. Just being able to watch a movie, always in focus on your ceiling is sweet! You let not be disappointed!

The quality of this LASER projector is INCREDIBLE. It is ALWAYS in focus, the colors are bright and true, and the image can be as large as 100 inches and maintain quality. I own one and it was worht the $500 I spent with additional shipping as I was the first to receive in the US from a company called Device Plus in Spain! Best of breed and this is just Generation we view media is going to change over the next 5 years!

Any Problems: n/a

System is very easy to use: true plug and play. The contrast ratio is far higher than the LED/LCD pico projectors I've used and the fact that the image is always in focus is a huge advantage as it is easier to point and shoot on the fly or set up spur of the moment presentations vs lens/LED systems. the clarity helps compensate for the limited brightness, although the image looks effectively brighter than other 10 lumen systems.

I've used the demo unit and the image will absolutely blow you away. Twice the color gamut of LCD and Plasma, no need to focus and up to a 100 inch image. This thing is better than any videos you will see on the web. You have to see it in real life to believe it.

I'm on the VIP list too. I can't wait for this baybee to hit the shelf. I'm hoping it will be less than $800 because that is my budget for this.

The light source has better performance than the competitors. I am also on the VIP list for one of the first production units. This unit is hands down the superior product, there's no mistaking that.

Review by Squalus_2000

I have used the prototype and am on the VIP list to receive one of the first of these amazing laser MEMS projectors at the release of the product rumored to be in July. No focus is required as is inherent with coherent laser light painted one pixel at a time. The focus then can bend around curved surfaces and always be in focus. The light source has superior performance compared to the competition which cannot truly compete on quality or features
