Liked the picture quality for the money. Bright and nice feature set. But over time, multiple units experienced electrical issues. With bulb costs rather high, we got less life out of these units than we anticipated. Overall I'd say certainly passable but far from outstanding.
Any Problems: Susceptible to screen door effect and some units had odd power issues.
I've installed a few of these. They work very well and offer all the bells and whisles you need.
Any Problems: It's one BIG projector. In one case, the projector lamp just never came on. The light sequence on the projector was informing us that it was either the lamp that was dead or the power supply. Finnaly, after changing the lamp, it came on! People at Mitsubishi Canada tech support are great! They are the one that help to decode that light sequence on the projector.
I am moving from a Mitsubishi 4900 a DLP 1024x768 which I used for the last 4 years NO Problems. Wonderful but not high def for what I am watching which is college football in Hi-def from the dish network and over the air antenna. Looked a a lot of projectors and finally found what I needed in a Mitsubishi 3300u it is big 22lb and the 4000 lumens lights the place up but if you want to see football, basketball, tennis, skiing you name it in life sized screen mine is about 150 diagonal. It likes 720p and give a lifelike picture. I paid the least I have seen from the Projector People and they were great. I am going to buy a second bulb because my wife is watching the thing all the time now.
Any Problems: big compaired to my old one and weights 22lb.it is an industrial strength projector.
