This projector is truly amazing quality I was expecting a lot less because I got it for £315 off ebay, but the picture quality really is Hi definition, I play dvds on It through my xbox 360 I use vga which carries an HD signal. I would highly recommend this model to any one wanting an affordable HD home cinema, The NEC VT540 is a very similar projector to the VT440 and is also HD ready.

Any Problems: NOTHING

This is a really good projector. I bought it refurbished, and for the price its amazing. The menu's are well thought out, and its so easy to use. Picture quality is excellent, and natural, unlike DLP projectors that tend to be very harsh coloured. Very well made. Can't rate highly enough!

Any Problems: Only problem is that the power lead goes in on the front, which means you cant keep all of the cables tucked away, but none others.

This little unit is very light. Has a very bright image. Not the best resolution, so screendoor effect is visible. Also, the colors aren't very vibrant, but for the price and class it's in, it's an amazing value. Very enjoyable over-all.

Any Problems: Nothing substantial

ITS A GREAT PROYECTOR, IN IMAGE, USAGE, BUT NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR MAYOR FAILURES.

Any Problems: THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH MY NEC VT 440 IS AN IMAGE BLINKING AFTER A FEW MINUTES PROYECTING. WERE OR WHO CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

This is an excellent little projector, although its really not so little (still very portable and durable to boot). Great at close range and has the capability to handle big screen films if your feeling like a cinema night (its also pretty quiet so you can hear the film instead of the fans). No dead pixels or funny image quirks and is bright enough on economy setting for most jobs so that you can get max lamp life from your machine. Only grumble as with all projectors is the price of the bulb, it seems a bit rediculous.

Any Problems: Power socket on front sometimes causes cable to interfere with image. Loss of clarity above 1024x768 (although its native resolution is only 800x600 so this is partly acceptable)

I bought one of these from EBay for£550 the other week' the picture is good but it cant do blacks, (same with most lcd's) I use it for home cinema, and its impressed everyone including me. mine has a blue dot (dead pixel) but its on the edge of the screen so not a problem, it also has strange pale green circles 2 of them, i think its dust inside the lens but i cannot get to it in order to clean it,, any ideas? However i would recomend this machine , its just fine. and its built like a brick ! this is my first projector and i was surprised at the image qualty . as i thought it would be a little blurry.. nope! bye.. boab fi scotland :<)

Any Problems: the power input is on the front ! (pain in the arse ) and the video/audio inputs r on the side.why ?? they should put them all on the back ! the picture can shimmer a little on some dvd's but i think that might be down to my crappy dvd player, i think all projectors could do with a progressive scan dvd player.

We had one hit hard enough to crack the case all the way down the side and smash in the front fan area, but it still turned on and had a perfect image.
