Epson has introduced new LightScene projectors—the EV-110 and EV-115—to build on the EV-100 and EV-105 that were released last year and used in installations like The Festival of Lights in Riverside, CA.
The laser light engine is brighter than last year's models at 2,200 ANSI lumens. It has a lifespan of 20,000 hours and is maintenance free thanks to its sealed optical engine. The 3LCD technology also means it boasts equal color and white brightness.
The EV-110 and EV-115 (these designate the white and black model numbers, respectively) have the same form factor as the older EV-100 and fit into installations where a traditional boxy projector design might be too obtrusive. The swivel and ball joint and flexible mounting options allow the projector to be pointed in virtually any direction. And with a 1.58x optical zoom and powered focus, the EV-110 and EV-115 work in both small and large spaces.
Included with a built-in media player on the projector are templates, effects, and filters that can be used with playlist and playback functions for projecting content with either a single or multiple LightScene projectors. In addition, the Creative Content Projection app can be used to further customize content and adjust with a four-point correction option on the app.
Notably, Bluetooth connectivity and GPI motion sensing come with the new projectors.
Other connections include HDMI, RJ-45, and wireless network capabilities. The projectors are also compatible with remote management control tools from systems like Creston and Art-Net.
The Epson EV-110 and EV-115 projectors have a limited three-year (or 20,000 hours) warranty and will be available in January 2021.
