Write a ReviewUse the projector for hdtv and ps3 games. It looks very good for the money blacks are dark depending on the setting they can appear as a dark grey at times. Projecting on a white wall in my house it works good even during the middle of the day. As for the 100hr per bulb guy I'm over 700hrs of use now and the bulb is still running well. Great projector for $350 new at bestbuy clearance.
Any Problems: 3d doesn't work off my ps3 with the age of the projector I expected as much, but in case anyone was wondering its a no go. Also it only has one dvi input so my ps3 and htpc have to run through my reciever (harmon/kardon avr 347) to give me any chance of multiple plug ins.
Excellent projector. Blacks are darker than I expected. Very birght, many color adjustment options. I love the small size easy to hide.
Any Problems: -limited zoom feature -limited horizontal and vertical shift functions
Wonderful product. HD picture is amazing. Great value. Used for daily TV watching, DVD's, Wii, and XBox. We have ours set to cool longer due to our location. Very user friendly.
Any Problems: No problems. Individual with buld issues truly is installing/running projector incorrectly.
This projector was purchased by me for HD televison and dvd movie viewing. I have been extremely impressed with everything about this unit. First off, it is very affordable in the HD projector world. Using free O-T-A HD and a HD box, I get stunning picture. I transport the unit to a friends house to watch the Superbowl in HD. Short warm-up time is a plus also. Has good fans, and though you can hear them, they aren't noisy.
Any Problems: No problems, very reliable.
Since I have bought this projector it has burned out 4 blubs in less than 100 hours per bulb. I tried to get it replaced and was told by the CSR that no it wasn't going to be replaced and I was obviously retarded and couldn't figure out how to use it. Do not buy this projector and do not do business with Optoma EVER.
Any Problems: Bulbs burn out in less than 100 hours, computer resolution is absolute (expletive deleted).
i got this projector in december 2007 it ws the first projector that i got and i was shcoked by the size and the brightness it is also extreemly quiet the only bad points are that i think that is dose not cool for a long period 5 second when the bulb is off.
Any Problems: i got it in december the first oen lasted for 5 mouths the bulb blew when i was using it, the bulb had only done 140 hours so it was not used for a very long time. i had it on eco and the fan on high alitude aslo some thimes it will just switch off and restart. i got a replacement from tesco and its all fine apart from the cut out witch is dose evr so often
I paid $500 for mine, and I couldn't believe how how good the picture was for what I spent. It was very easy to use and adjust the settings. I watched "Cars" in 720p. It looked as good as I've seen on Blu Ray at stores using HD televisions. With a component to HD15 cable I hooked up my DVD player, and it recognized the 480p signal through the VGA input, The screen I bought was just a $120 panoview with a gain of 1. Also, it's pretty bright. Even with light coming through the shades, it is still easy to watch. I can't say anything about reliability because I've only had it a month.
Any Problems: If you look for it, you can see the rainbow, but none of my friends have commented on it. So, don't tell yours.
Good image quality, design. Very small machine, width big zoom.Noise level is ok.There are a lot of options.Brilliant color technology is works fine!
Any Problems: -Rainbow effect but no problemo -Not jet
