Optoma Laser Business Projectors NPA front

Optoma announced availability of its most compact WXGA (1280x800) and 1080p business projectors yet—the ZW350ST and ZH350ST DLP projectors. They're not only up to 34% smaller, but the DuraCore laser projectors also consume up to 45% less power over Optoma's lamp-based options and will last up 30,000 hours.

Optoma lists the ZW350ST (WXGA) and ZH350ST (1080p) at an output of 3,600 and 3,500 lumens, respectively. Both short throw projectors (hence the ST in the model names) come with a fixed lens and close to 0.5:1 throw ratio (0.521:1 for the ZW350ST and 0.496:1 for the ZH350ST). The ZW only has vertical keystone correction of ±40 degrees, while the ZH can correct both vertical and horizontal ±30 degrees. Both projectors have flexible positioning options with portrait orientation and 360-degree operation.

Helping the install flexibility is the size of the two projectors. Their compact design measures 4.49 x 10.79 x 8.5 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.61 pounds. Combined with less packing material made up of 97% recyclable materials, Optoma was able to decrease its logistical carbon footprint with these projectors by transporting more products at a time from factory to customer.

Both projectors come with two HDMI ports (1.4a with 3D support on the ZW350ST and 2.0 on the ZH350ST), a 3.5mm audio out, USB-A for power, RS232, and on the ZW350ST a RJ45. The Optoma Management Suite is available for both, allowing administrators to remotely monitor, manage, and diagnose the projectors.

The ZW350ST and ZH350ST are available for $999 and $1,499, respectively.
