Although it is rated at only 800 lumens, our side by side comparisons with 2 other projectors rated at 1200 lumens and 1400 showed us that the Plus was noticibly brighter. Very good contrast ration and depth of color. PowerPoint presentations were outstanding. We were so impressed at the overall value, size, ease of use and image quality that we ended up purchasing 3 for our outside sales force.

Any Problems: Not a major issue but I would not recommend this for home theater use as it tends to get hot.

In talking to Plus Japan, it seems that although this unit can be mounted upside down and although it is 16:9/HDTV compatible, it is not recommended to either ceiling mount (too hot) or use as Home Theater (not designed for multi hour useage - heat again). Too bad, it seemed perfect in the specs. One other issue that may involve other 'business' type projectors is that, according to Plus, they use a white segment in their color wheel to boost brightness of presentation type materials. They say this makes the unit "totally unacceptable" for Home Theatre due to color degradation. So I wonder why it seems so HT ready... Anyone know if the 'white segment' is used in other makers' projectors?

Any Problems: None, I don't own the unit. But on a 'Plus' note, the service and information from Plus Japan was excellent!
