So good. I really love it. I haven't tried to enjoy 3D up to now because I don't have a Blu-ray player.

after 40 hours of viewing all i can say is WOW, using this projector in a darkend room the image is very bright still using the default cinema settings they are all so good I cant decide I have not found the need to do any calibration all the colors and tints seem very lifelike much better than my 80" Mitsubishi big screen. very quiet sits directly overhead in an 8" ceiling room barely audible. you cant go wrong with this projector Purchased from Audio General Inc.

Just purchased this refurbished to replace my Sanyo PLV-Z200 projector. After some time spent mounting and minor calibration, this projector is without a doubt the best I have purchased so far! It is a calibrator's dream, and the colors really pop. It has the best black levels of the four projectors I've owned, and I am enjoying my 3D collection more than ever. I know this projector is a few years old, but still competes with the best of them in terms of quality. Money well spent!

Any Problems: None so far

I just bought this projector is the third of my story, and is the first Full HD 3D is truly amazing the quality of your image even my wife knows nothing of image could tell the difference from a movie with this projector. Actually causes remain in the home theater room, for hours because the images are really crisp and vibrant. I think I'll stick with this projector for many years, a real bargain for the price Cons: I just had a little trouble at first to find compatible picture with my bluray Oppo 103, but after all ok

Just bought the 8000U. It replaced a PT-AX100U. The main difference in the two projectors is the brightness, with the 8000 winning by a longshot. Overall image quality was not that much different, which really was a surprise. The 100U really is a fine projector in it's own right! Easy to view with ambient lighting. Great for sports (Super Bowl). At $1599, the is the best "bang for the buck" going.

Any Problems: Brand new unit. Time will tell.

I bought this unit to replace a very VERY old used BenQ PB8250 DLP I had after the power supply failed. Using all the old equipment (screen & initially receiver) it has been a breathtaking improvement. I usually use it in a dark basement, but the image is easily viewable when all the lights are on at a throw distance of about 16 feet. Primary use is for sports (DirecTV HD) & movies (BluRay). Occasional usage with my laptop for work or games and it is absolutely incredible. Fonts are legible at distance, colors are great, blacks are solid, whites are nice & crisp. I have not noticed any blurring, pixelization or choppy motion, even on fast actions such as auto racing, golf shots, football action, soccer. I’m not an video expert but I am very critical on When I purchased the unit the 3D did not factor into the decision at all (didn’t care if it had it or not), but have to admit it has been pretty cool. So much so that I even upgraded my receiver to handle the 3D and get a full 7.1 surround since we are using the unit a lot more over the old one. As far as anecdotal user experiences, friends that have come over have frequently commented that they really "get pulled into" what they are watching and comment on how it really is like sitting in a theatre (after 3 months I still feel the same). It’s not uncommon to hear an "Oh wow!" or "Oh my gosh!" from friends that come over to watch a movie or sports (basketball in 3D is amazing). We now have even started a family movie night once per week since it's so clear and entertaining. The whole family loves it and the teenagers will even come down for it. My house has also become a favorite gathering point for some of my wife’s friends for the vampire cable shows/movies and the guys have asked if we can just meet at my house for the games as opposed to rotating like we used to do (2 others have media rooms too). The main cons that I would have are the same they mentioned in the Proj Central review. The aiming joystick is touchy if trying to get a fine adjustment, but realistically you use it once unless you move it. Also the menus can be a bit cryptic and may take a while to find what you are looking for, but the setting is likely there, but once I completed the initial set up - I haven’t been back in to the menus. In conclusion, it's an absolutely great projector. I have no regret in spending the money as my entire family have really enjoyed having it. I would have zero reservations about recommending this unit to friends or family.

Any Problems: No major issues encountered.

Outstanding product. I got this projector to replace an Infocus Screenplay 7200. The picture is stunning even in room light. The deal from Projector Point was great as well. Great service and quick shipment. Buy from them soon and get 2 free 3D glasses, a 3 year warranty and 100 bucks off. Thanks for this site. It's a great place to get information!

Any Problems: This projector has so many settings it does get overwhelming trying to get it perfect. But will well be perfect.

This is my third projector. The last one was a Panasonic PTAE4000u, by the way, excelent projector. It was reach for a lightning so I had to get a new one, and thanks to several reviews I finally got this superb projector. After only 30 hours of use, I finally can understand the 3 D concept. Not the 3D with glasses (this one, very good too) but the image 2D more dimensional. It has so many features, many of them maybe I won´t use ever, but I feel really happy with that.

Any Problems: My only complain, it hasn´t the same solid construction of the PTAE 4000u. I mean it is not bad but It could be better. (sorry for my english, this is not my native language)

I purchased a new Panasonic PT8000U last week. I previously owned an Optoma HD33, which I was able to sell in a flash. While the Optoma was a great projector within its price range, I have to say that I am overwhelmed with my new Panasonic. I was able to set it up in approximately 30 minutes. The brightness hit me immediately, even in economy mode, which I am using. Even in a lamp-lit room, the projected image remains flawless and quite viewable, in my opinion. My games on XBOX 360 and on my PS3 Playstaion are a real treat to play now. I have not adjusted anything on the projector. The colors are sooo vibrant, contrast is remarkable, brightness is superior, and it has a Viersa link, which turns on (and off) my Denon AV-R 2313, my Sony Blu-Ray player, and my Playstation 3. This is just one person's opinion, but I thought you might like to know. It's worth every dollar I spent on it! P.S. I like the remote-controlled Zoom and Focus, too. I am waiting for Panasonic to ship my FREE 3-D glasses, which is a bonus! P.S.S. If anyone has questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Any Problems: No problems so far. I will update this mini-review in a month's time.
