I AGREE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAMPS BURNING SO QUICK
Review by NICHOLAS EDWARDS (CRS COMPUTER)

THAT'S WHY I'M THINKING ABOUT DOING A SPECIAL WORK-AROUND LIKE I DID FOR MY CHRISTIE PROJECTOR, AS I JUST PICKED THIS UNIT UP A FEW HOURS AGO AND I'M ALREADY GETTING THAT (ENGINEERING ITCH), LONG STORY SHORT, GETTING RID OF THIS ANTIQUATED EXTREMELY HOT LAMP AND UTILIZING THE TRUE POWER OF (ULTRA-BRIGHT LIGHT EMITTING DIODE) TECH AS I DID WITH MY CHRISTIE PROJECTOR, IT WAS RATHER DIFFICULT AND A BIT TIME CONSUMING BUT VERY WORTH IT, IT INVOLVED DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING INTERGRADED CIRCUITRY TO TRICK THE PROJECTOR INTO BELIEVING IT HAD A LAMP/BULB DRAWING HUNDREDS OF WATTS AT 120 V.A.C. AT A SPECIFIED TEMP RANGE, HOWEVER OBTAINING A SINGLE WAFER L.E.D. THAT WAS CAPABLE OF 5000 LUMENS OR MORE WAS NO HARDER THAN A TRIP TO HOME DEPOT FOR A HUSKY BRAND SPOT/FLOOD LAMP AND A FEW MINUTES TO STRIP IT DOWN HOOKUP MY FLUKE MULTIMETER FOR AN EXACT VOLTAGE TYPE AND AMOUNT READ, I STILL HAVE A FEW THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO IMPROVE, FOR EXAMPLE EITHER A MANUAL OR AUTO RESETTING HOURS SIMULATING CODE/EEPROM (PRETEND LAMP HOURS), ETC... IF I THOUGHT THIS WAS SOMETHING A LOT OF PEOPLE NEEDED OR EVEN WANTED WELL INSPIRATION YOU KNOW!

I have to agree with previous review. this is simply too expensive to get the poor image quality and lamp life. lamps do die fast, even if you run them longer. We use 2 projectors in a church, and we change the bulbs at least once/ year. We use the projectors approx. 5-6hrs/ week. thats 300 hrs a year. for $400/lamp, we're better off buying a new projector every year.

Any Problems: lamps burn out fast.. and if they dont burn out, they will flicker a lot.

We purchased 2 of these projectors for a large auditorium. At first everything looked great, however we found the lamp life to be unacceptable. We lost our first lamp at 600 hrs. We had to replace both sets (2 lamps in each) so they would have the same brightness. We then lost another lamp at 450 hrs. The lamps are rated for 1500 hours. When we contacted the manufacturer they blamed the short lamp life on the fact that we didn't run the projectors for at least 3.5 hours each time the projectors were used. The lamps cost approximately $800 per set. That's a lot of money for 450 hours of life!

Any Problems: Lamp life too short. Lamp cost too high. Lost first lamp at 600 hrs then lost the new lamp at 450 hrs. The lamps cost approximately $800 per set.
